A 37-year-old Queensland manufacturing business has recently returned to a privately owned business. In Q4 2024, the mining OEM FLSmidth, divested their long-standing Hose and Rubber business located in Carole Park to Wearmin Pty Ltd.

The history of the business spans back to 1987 when Jet-Line Rubber was formed based out of South-East Queensland servicing the Mining and Aggregate markets with rubber fabrication solutions including rubber hoses. In 1997, CMI/Ludowici acquired Jet-Line Rubber where it stayed under the Ludowici banner until FLSmidth’s acquisition of Ludowici in 2012. FLSmidth is a full flowsheet technology and service supplier to the global mining and cement industries.

Wearmin Pty Ltd is a private entity owned by the previous manager of FLSmidth’s Hose and Rubber operations, Marius Snyman. Marius worked as the Manager of FLSmidth’s Hose and Rubber business unit since 2018 and has been in the Rubber/Ceramics and Slurry Hose Industry for over 20 years with experience in various roles across global regions. The acquisition covers all aspects of FLSmidth’s Hose and Rubber business along with all employees of the Hose and Rubber team and facilities.
